BLOG REPORT by Erin and Genevieve
On the 14th of September, Ilam School held a Hangi. You would order your food online and it would be made by some very kind girls. The hole was dug by some strong boys with a bit of help from experts.
The girls made the food while the boys dug a square hole outside. The girls made pumpkin, cabbage, sweet potato, carrots, chicken, pork and stuffing. You could choose if you wanted a vegetarian meal or not. In the science and tech room they also had pigs heads. The pigs didn't look very surprised. The Hangi is also known as the earth's oven. The Hangi was fabulous and everyone enjoyed meeting new people and hanging out with their friends.
At 'Have a Go Day there was heaps of sports. My favourite was t-ball. There were four bases. We made heaps of runs and it was really amazing.
